Artists Open Shop: Summer 2010 - Guildbourne Centre in Worthing
Wednesday 5th May - 31st July 2010
Every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday
10.00am - 4.00pm
The Artists Open Shop returns to the Guildbourne Centre
in Worthing this summer.
The Artists Open Shop is a pop-up shop project organised
by Hazel Imbert and Sarah Sepe
The shop stocks a changing range of arts and crafts by local artists - both established and emerging - including an eclectic mix of paintings, prints, textiles, furniture and sculpture. Many of the artists live in Worthing or have studied at Northbrook College and most are involved in the Worthing Open Houses which will be opening over the last two weekends of July this year.
Also in the shop will be a series of workshops to get involved in and there is studio space available for use by interested artists. As well as the stock changing throughout the period, each day will be unique with different artists working in the shop, sharing their skills and really pleased to discuss their work.
The Mini-Masterpiece collaborative art project, which was started in last summer’s pop-up Artists Open Shop, will continue to grow, with visitors able to make a small piece of art (5cm square) on the theme of Worthing, using a variety of techniques- stitching, drawing, painting, knitting and collage.
More details can be found at Artists Open Shop: Summer 2010, which will be kept up-to-date with the latest news from the shop.
