A Monster in Paris (u)

Delightful animation about a monster's love for a nightclub singer in 1910 Paris.

Ever since he was a child, Raoul (Adam Goldberg) has been in love with the beautiful Lucille (Vanessa Paradis), star of a stylish Montmartre cabaret. But one day, while delivering supplies to an eccentric scientist and his monkey assistant, Raoul manages to cause a laboratory accident that unleashes a monster. Photographed by his pal Emile (Jay Harrington), this turns out to be a giant flea!

Although he's a fearsome looking beast, the monster has a beautiful singing voice (supplied by Sean Lennon). When Lucille hears this, she takes him in and disguises the now smitten flea, whom she names Francoeur. But nasty city official Prefet Maynott (Danny Huston) is determined to hunt down the monster. 'Shark Tale' director Bibo Bergeron returned to his native France to make this exquisite animated fable, which is already a huge box office hit across the Channel.
