The first episode of the greatest of all science fiction sagas has been given a 3D makeover by creator George Lucas to fully immerse viewers in its heart-pounding spectacle and emotional storyline. Originally released in 1999, 'The Phantom Menace' introduces Jedi master Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson) and his apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor in the role earlier made famous by Sir Alec Guinness).

They rescue Queen Amidala (Natalie Portman) of Naboo from the evil clutches of the Trade Federation and flee to the desert planet of Tatooine. Here they befriend a young slave boy called Anakin Skywalker (Jake Lloyd) in whom the Force appears to be strong. He's also a promising pilot and engineer who has created his own droid, C-3PO. Could he be the Chosen One of Jedi prophecy?
