...and we have some great wines to go with starters, fish dishes and of course desserts.

It's not entirely necessary to make a reservation but during the Summer we do advise that you call ahead or email. We try to seat everyone just as soon as possible but you may have a short wait sipping a glass of wine or an aperitif upon our terrace or in the bar while a table is prepared.

There is such a wealth of different shapes and colours, flavours and textures in fish and seafood and so many delicious ways to cook them that no menu will have everything. But our seafood menu offers new dishes created by our own chefs and some favourite classic renderings; we have even been known to do fish, chips and mushy peas.

Sauces and seasonings are chosen to blend together to perfection and compliment the fish or seafood. Others are chosen to give striking contrasts to stronger flavours.

Some dishes are very simply grilled or pan-fried. Others are more slowly cooked such to bring out the full flavours of the ingredients.

We have a touch of the Mediterranean in our Venus clams and a taste of the bright fresh waters of the Shetland's with delicately steamed mussels.

Our main fish dishes are all from the local catch; Plaice, Sea Bass and Lemon Sole. From further afield come Cod and Skate and of course scallops, oysters and scampi all have a place on our menu.

Our elegant menu, served in our high-ceiling restaurant shows the many ways that fish and seafood can be prepared and served - explore with us light and modern, flavourful and traditional dishes.

Meat lovers are not excluded with a succulent sweet pork roast with traditional apple sauce.
