Shoreham Port have been busy making preparations to mark their 250th anniversary. Pilot Chris Jones, has been project managing the lead up to the Open Day event and collaborating with local business traders to arrange a fun packed day on Sunday 18th July. Admission is free and Peter James the Brighton based crime writer will open the event from 10am to 4pm. On the day, there will be many attractions including boat trips on the Canal and a wide variety of vessels ranging from historic tugs and ketches to modern vessels. There will be plenty of fun for all the family, including children's rides, and the local radio station Heart FM will be broadcasting live music. Other attractions include an air-sea rescue demonstration and nautical and diving displays.

All proceeds from programme sales and other events will go to selected local charities. Rodney Lunn, Chief Executive says, Shoreham Port has been at the heart of the community for the last 250 years, and we look forward to welcoming the public to the port on that day.
